Negotiation Workshops

Sharpening your negotiation skills takes time, education, preparation and practice.

Here's a sampling of the negotiation workshops Dr. Nijm offers.

It was at Dr. Lisa Nijm’s negotiation workshop that I gained the knowledge (and the courage) to believe in my worth and ask for what I deserved in my negotiations into partnership. She has insight that is substantiated, evidence based, and personalized. I’m so happy to see that she is expanding her platform so others may benefit from her support.

Negotiation Workshops for Women and Minority Physicians

Research suggests that 20% of women never negotiate at all. Over a 45 year career, this can lead to loss of anywhere from 650k to 1M dollars, often while performing more work than other colleagues. Certain gender and structural barriers create unique circumstances for women and minority physicians in contract negotiations. Understanding and identifying these barriers is an important first step in improving the success of contract negotiations for these physicians. Moreover, a growing body of research demonstrates that negotiation skills can not only be enhanced, but cultivated to play to the strengths of these individuals. Dr. Nijm has developed specific strategy negotiation workshops to help women and minority physician leaders chose to engage and perform more effectively in negotiations.
